Merlin Investor has launched Merlin-Connect, its modular, API-native portfolio-intelligence layer designed for banks and financial institutions.
Merlin-Connect brings together Merlin’s portfolio construction, analytics and simulation capabilities within a focused institutional API suite, enabling financial institutions to embed portfolio intelligence directly into their existing digital wealth journeys.
Designed for retail, advisory and hybrid use cases, Merlin-Connect allows institutions to introduce portfolio-level capabilities without replacing their existing infrastructure or giving up control of the user experience.
Its modular architecture enables banks to select the capabilities most relevant to their proposition and specific use cases, from portfolio construction and optimization to risk and performance analysis, scenario testing, forecasting, portfolio simulation and monitoring. Institutions can start with a focused implementation and expand capabilities over time as their digital wealth proposition evolves.
Merlin-Connect has been developed with institutional integration requirements in mind. Its API-native architecture is designed to plug into existing technology environments, while dedicated production deployments allow infrastructure, data residency, product universes and configuration to be tailored to each institution.
The launch reflects Merlin Investor’s continued focus on helping banks move beyond transaction-led investment access toward more portfolio-centric digital wealth experiences.
By embedding portfolio intelligence within existing journeys, institutions can provide clients and advisors with additional tools to construct, understand, evaluate, monitor and adjust portfolios while maintaining control of the overall proposition.
The value for banks is tangible and measurable: higher investor activation, greater adoption and engagement across investment products, and growth in investment AUM by converting more existing bank clients into funded investors.
Developers can review interactive Swagger documentation, access a ready-to-use Postman collection and request access to a live sandbox environment that mirrors the production API contract. Following evaluation and testing, selected capabilities can be deployed through a dedicated production environment configured for the institution.
